ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR
We are looking for several new Assistant instructors to join our fun and friendly team for the new season ahead. The role of Assistant Activity Instructor is to ensure the welfare and safety of the children on camp is maintained at all times, and to deliver outstanding, structured and fun sessions. Many of our Assistant Instructors gain the confidence and skills to to progress to an Instructor role in future seasons.
YOUR ROLES:

Supporting the Instructors and camp manager in delivery of activities.

Taking the lead in small group sports or arts and craft activities.

Ensuring that the children are engaged and joining in with the activities.

Looking after the welfare of the children as a whole.

Supporting our most vulnerable children, including those with Specific Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

MULTI-ACTIVITY INSTRUCTOR
The role of Activity Instructor is to ensure the welfare and safety of the children on camp is maintained at all times, and to deliver outstanding, structured and fun sessions. This includes various sports and Arts and Craft activities, in addition to leading our EXTREME ACTIVITIES (inflatables, Archery Tag, Archery, Splat Ball, Sumo Wrestling and Electric Go-Karts) where you will be given specific training to lead these activities.
YOUR ROLES:

Ensure that the activities are set-up, appropriate and welcoming for children.

Adhere to rules and regulations to ensure that the children in your care will enjoy themselves in a secure setting.

Plan and conduct engaging, age-appropriate activities that are safe and compliant with the APF training and lesson plans that you have received.

Give safety instructions and equipment demonstrations, and make sure these are followed by every child.

Make sure the children in your care are actively supervised and attended to throughout the day, including during breaks and lunch.

Accurately complete all paperwork associated with the daily and weekly Multi Activity sessions. This includes registers.

Encourage children to participate in activities as much as possible.
REQUIREMENTS
Ideally, you will be qualified or have experience in working with children in sport, art, childcare or teaching, with significant experience of working with children (Although this is not essential).

SPORTS COACH
The role of a Sports Coach is to ensure the welfare and safety of the children on camp is maintained at all times, and to deliver outstanding, structured and fun sessions.
As a sports coach, you will guide individuals/groups through instruction and training to improve their skills in Football. Rugby, Basketball, Hockey, Badminton, Tennis, skills and knowledge. This is in addition to leading our EXTREME ACTIVITIES (inflatables, Archery Tag, Archery, Splat Ball, Sumo Wrestling and Electric Go-Karts) where you will be given specific training to lead. It is imperative that that your ensure that all children have LOTS OF FUN in addition to learning new skills in each sport.
You will analyse the performance and provide direction in how to improve their technique to children following set program guidelines and relevant lesson plans (advanced coaches can follow their own lesson plans).
You will communicate effectively and professionally to senior leaders and management on a daily basis and build a strong ethos with your collegues.
Duties of a Sports Coach

CAMP MANAGER
The Camp Manager is in charge of overseeing the effective operation of our daycare programmes and making sure the childrens' safety and well-being are always upheld. It will be your duty to oversee, encourage, and assist your staff team in order to provide enjoyable and engaging activities that encourage involvement, organisation, nurturing, and growth. By communicating with parents, staff, and head office, you will guarantee the effective implementation of all rules and procedures. Staff members will lead sessions and contribute to the excellent social, emotional, and physical care provided.
The position of the Camp Manager is a busy but hugely rewarding and varied role, where the experience of parents and children rests on your shoulders.
DUTIES OF A CAMP MANAGER

Keep paperwork up to date and high-risk tasks in compliance with APF Activity Codes of Practice. This includes responding immediately to any areas for development outlined during monitoring visits.

The role of EYP is to ensure the welfare and safety of the children on camp is maintained at all times, and to deliver outstanding, structured and fun sessions. With support and direction from the Site Manager, you will have a pastoral role, being a key contact for the 4 and 5 year olds on camp, taking a lead in maintaining their welfare and providing high-quality care
Ideally, you will be qualified in Early Years, with significant experience of working with children. You will be an excellent communicator, with confident face to face customer service skills. You will possess good working knowledge of camp activities, be a good decision maker and be able to quickly assess and make informed judgments. You will be pro-active and conscientious, able to adapt to situations when required.

EARLY YEARS MANAGER
The Ealry Years Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of our multi-activity holiday childcare programmes, whilst ensuring the welfare and safety of the children on Camp is maintained at all times. For smaller camps, this will involve managing a particular site and for larger camps this will be managing the Early Years area/room and directly supporting the EYPs.
You will be responsible for managing, motivating and supporting your staff team in order to create fun and exciting holiday camps which promote participation, structure, care and development. You will ensure successful execution of all policies and procedures, liaising with parents, site representatives and Head Office. As well as leading sessions, staff will contribute to the high standard of physical, emotional, and social care offered.
You will have a pastoral role, being the key contact for the 4 and 5 year olds (and on occasions 6-7 year olds) on camp, taking a lead in maintaining their welfare and providing high-quality care. You will be an excellent communicator, with confident face to face customer service skills.

Area Manager (school holidays)
Summary
You will be in charge of overseeing the provision of top-notch APF Camps in your area and the neighbouring areas as an area manager. During the summer, your main responsibility is to visit the camps and sites in your area to check on the quality of services and assist in raising standards.
In addition, you will interact with the local authorities and Ofsted as the "key person" during their visits, answering questions regarding safeguarding, health and safety, and the standard of care at each camp.
You will serve as the liaison between site managers and main office, answering to the director. You'll supervise every location, offer assistance and programme audits, manage local personnel and camps, and assist in making sure kids are active.
Positions and respobsibilities

Address operational concerns with the personnel and the way the camp is being operated.

React to incidents as soon as possible by liaising with the director

To capture the interests of all children, we also offer no-traditional sports such as Archery.
