Volunteering Roles

Volunteering Roles

We know teens like a challenge. That’s why we’ve created Teen Active, an energetic programme for 10-12 year olds which builds on our Multi-Active programme with games and activities designed for older children. When they turn 13, they can opt join the Young Leaders Programme, where they learn how to plan and deliver sport sessions alongside our Instructors.

Sport & Dance are the most popular physical activities for teenagers in the country and is also a fantastic way for them to develop and hone vital leadership skills.

Our Young Leaders Programme provides an opportunity for pupils aged 13+ to develop leadership skills in order to prepare them for coaching or leadership roles in their schools, communities, at camp, and in their futures

During the summer, Young Leaders help out at camp in many ways:

• providing assistance in dance and performing arts sessions.

• planning and leading sports & dance activities

• refereeing/umpiring matches

Leaders will learn how to plan fun and engaging physical activities with other students and within the community. Students will plan, lead and evaluate sports/physical activity sessions over a number of tutored hours. They will receive continuous feedback and support to help them become more confident in their delivery.
